Abstract

This research has been carried out in the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Pekanbaru City, for four months starting from August-November 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effects of Biosugih Fertilizer and NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 on growth and also the production of purple eggplant plants. The design used in this study was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL), consisting of two factors. The first factor was Biosugih (B) Fertilizer with a concentration of 0, 1, 2, 3 ml/liter of water while the second factor was NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 with dose, 0, 2,6, 5,2, 7,8 gram/polybag. The parameters observed were the plant height (cm), flowering age (days), harvest age (days), number of fruits plant (fruit), fruit weight per fruit (gram), fruit weight per plant (gram), number of leftover fruit per plant (fruit). Observation data were analyzed statistically and continued with BNJ further testing at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Biosugih fertilizer and NPK Fertilizer 16:16:16 application had a significant effect on plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per fruit and fruit weight per plant, with the best treatment was Biosugih fertilizer 2ml/liter water and NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 5,2 g/plant (B2N2). The main effect of the concentration of Biosugih Fertilizer significant affected all the observed parameter with the best treatment was the concentration of Biosugih fertilizer 2ml/liter of water (B2). The main effect of NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 dosage has a significant effect on plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per fruit and fruit weight per plant, with the best treatment is NPK fertilizer dosage 16:16:16 5,2 g/plant (N2).
