Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the causes of inter-group fights crime in the Pencak Silat Martial Arts in the Rokan IV Koto District and determine inter-group fight crime prevention in the Pencak Silat Martial Arts in the Rokan IV Koto District. This research is a qualitative research. The location of this research will be conducted in the village of Lubuk Bendahara in Rokan IV Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The sample of this study was the head of the Rokan IV Koto subdistrict head, community leaders and perpetrators of violence against pencak silat. After the information data has been obtained then analyzed through data grouping, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results of the research that the researchers have described, it can be seen that there are two factors causing fights in Pencak Silat Martial Arts in the Rokan IV Koto District. The first cause is a micro cause which is due to a misunderstanding and solidarity of silat college members, while the macro factor that causes fights is the factor of differences in views between universities which causes them to feel their respective colleges are the best and demean other universities and ultimately lead to fights between universities silat.
