Abstract

The distribution of natural gas using the distribution method through pipes by PT. EMP in the Riau area has been running for a long time. In this study, the level of integrity or reliability of the gas distribution pipeline will be evaluated based on the comparison of the initial pipe design with the actual ERF (Estimated Repair Factor) data obtained during the In Line Inspection (ILI) implementation. Where the flowrate at the time of distribution of natural gas is not in accordance with the desired needs on both sides of the company. Pressure has decreased which affects the flowrate. Based on the problems experienced by the related company, an experiment will be carried out to change the pipe to a smaller one, namely 10 inches to increase the pressure and the desired gas flow rate. Based on the analysis of the calculation of the pipe replacement work carried out, it can be said that the work was successful because the pressure and flowrate which was low on the crew had increased. Pressure in the first week: 105 psig. Experienced an average increase of 129% over four weeks. Flowrate in the first week : 0.0426 MMSCFD. There was an average increase for 4 weeks by 573.82%. Based on the calculation of the economic analysis using the CEKI field, it has a positive NPV (+) US$ 134630.6111 with an IRR of 59.93% % and a POT of 0.34 months, and a DIPR 4,57> 1. The project is still considered feasible because it meets all the factors that become economic feasibility.
