Abstract
This research was conducted with the aim of knowing students' learning difficulties during online learning in biology subjects. The research was carried out using a descriptive method with survey techniques in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru students in the 2020/2021 academic year. The sampling technique uses a random sampling technique (simple random sampling). The number of samples in the study was 126 students. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire of 38 items and has been validated. Data collection techniques in research using online questionnaires made using google form. Based on the research, it was found that the factor causing students' learning difficulties during online learning in biology subjects was the concentration of students' learning 60,65% in the medium category, student motivation 86,26% high category, self-confidence 60.05% medium category, parental attention 64.92% in the medium category, the percentage value of the low category is the economic condition of the family 52.38%, how to teach teachers 53.70% low category,process constraints 60.01% medium category and technical problems 57.31% with medium category. So it can be concluded that the analysis of students' learning difficulties studying biology material in online learning in class XI SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru has an average percentage value of 61.91% which is categorized as sufficient.
