Abstract
This study discusses only one aspect, namely the study of organology which aims to determine the shape or structure of the organology of the ketipung (drum) musical instrument produced by Nursaiful Bahril, Tenayan Raya district, Pekanbaru City, Riau province. This study uses Shaffiner's theory starting from knowing the materials and tools used, the manufacturing process to how to play it, the method used is the descriptive analysis method using qualitative data. There are 3 techniques in this study, namely observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the research show that the organology of the ketipung (drum) musical instrument produced by Nursaiful Bahril, Tenayan Raya sub-district, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province is not an easy thing to do, it requires accuracy and caution in the process. after analyzing the organology, it can be seen the original form of the ketipung musical instrument (drum) (February 2022)
