Abstract

Legal consequences are the source of the birth of rights and obligations for the legal subjects concerned. For example, entering into a sale-purchase agreement, a legal consequence of the sale-purchase agreement is born, namely that there are legal subjects who have the right to obtain the goods and have the obligation to pay for the goods. On the other hand, other legal subjects have the right to get money but in addition, they have an obligation to deliver goods. The main problem in this study is what are the legal consequences of default on sale and purchase agreements under the hands of a case study of land plots on Jalan Simpang Pir, Tandun Barat District, Rokan Hulu Regency and how the settlement of default on a sale and purchase agreement is under the hands of a case study of land plots on Jalan Simpang Pir, Tandun Barat District, Kabupeten Rokan Hulu. This research can be classified into observational research by means of a survey. In this study, the nature of descriptive research that describes the facts studied in the field is primary data and secondary data. The results of the discussion of this study arise due to the legal consequences of default in the sale and purchase agreement of the case study of the land plot on Jalan Simpang Pir, Tandun District, due to delays in the buyer's payment of settlement to the seller and the settlement of the legal consequences of default in the sale agreement. litigation (mediation) in which the buyer must pay off the remaining money to be paid in the amount of IDR 35,000,000 until November 15, 2020.
