Abstract

In preventive actions aimed at suppressing crime in the community, of course the policy remains on the policy remains on a more universal policy, namely in the social sector policy in this case such as steps towards prospering the social system. In the community as well as steps that end up providing protection to the community. This study aims to find out how the strategies implemented in minimizing the theft of cattle in the village of Petapahan Tapung District Kampar Regency. In combating crimes that occur in the village of Petapahan people use several preventive measure, namely Preventive efforts, Preemptive, and Repressive Efforts. From the results of research conducted by the authors in the field found, with applied crime prevention measures such as preventive efforts, pre-emictive efforts, and repressive efforts, so the number of cases of theft of cattle decreased from the previous year. As well as with the support and participation of the community so that by using these three efforts in the future crime that occurred in the village of Petapahan especially cattle theft can be minimized, so as to eliminate the community’s concern for their Cattle.
