Abstract

This study describes the Pangean Silat music inheritance system in the village of Sorek Dua, Pangkalan Kuras Subdistrict, Pelalawan Regency. The problem in this research is discussing the inheritanceof game patterns, drum and gong playing technigues, teaching silat, passing down the terms of pangean silat music, a degree in pangean silat music. The formulation of the problem is how is the Pangean Silat music inheritance system in the village of Sorek Dua, Pelalawan Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out how the Pangean Silat Music inheritance system. The subjects of this study were Mr. Sinin, Mr. Sotu, Mr. Sigit, and Mr. Pi’i. This type of research is a qualitative study using descriptive qualitative analysis methods by approaching the object under study. Data collection technigues in this study were interview technigues, obsevation technigues, and documentation technigues. The conclusion in this study is to describe the Pangean Silat music inheritance system is done twice a week on Friday nights and Saturday nights with one to two hours each time. Reguirements that must be met if you want to become a member of Pangean martial arts is to bring lime, incense, and white cloth. Silat music tradition is one of the Malay cultures in Sorek Dua Village. Generation to generation heirs who made this Pangean Silat music developed until now that has been held training in the arena hall and is often displayed in weddings, circumcisions, and other traditional events.
