Abstract
The purpose of this study was to improve the passing and stopping skills of soccer in class XI MAN 1 Pekanbaru students. This type of research is a type of classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects in this study were all students of class XI MIA 3 MAN 1 Pekanbaru, amounting to 34 people. The instrument used was the rubric of performance evaluation process for passing and stopping football skills. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, this study can be concluded that there is an increase in football passing and stopping skills through drill methods in class XI MIA 3 MAN 1 Pekanbaru students, with the percentage of classical completeness in the first cycle passing by 67% and stopping by 61%, in the cycle II passed 88% and stopping 88%. So there is an increase of 21% for passing, and 27% for stopping.
