Abstract

This research was carried out because it was not yet known to increase the application of teams games tournaments to football dribbling in class VIII 1 students of SMP N 4 Pekanbaru. The goal to be achieved is to find out how much the increase in the application of teams games tournaments to football dribbling in class VIII 1 students of SMP N 4 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at SMP N 4 Pekanbaru. The variables used are dribbling skills and methods (TGT). The research subjects used were grade VIII 1 students of SMP N 4 Pekanbaru with 37 students. The research subject taking technique used cluster area sampling. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics with the percentage. The results showed that improving the basic technique of soccer dribbling for VIII 1 students of SMP N 4 Pekanbaru was good. The results obtained for the basic technique of football dribbling in class VIII 1 SMP N Pekanbaru in cycle 1 were 59.5% "complete", in cycle 2 there was an increase of 83.7% which was "complete".
