Abstract

A role is a set of behaviors expected of a person according to a given social position, both formally and informally. In village development, the Village Community Empowerment Institution (LPMD) is a partner of the village government. The Village Community Empowerment Institution (LPMD) is very influential on development. This type of research is qualitative, namely describing the data according to the facts obtained as they are. The key informants in this study were the Head of LPMD and the informants were the Village Head, Village Secretary, Deputy Chairperson of LPMD, LPMD Structure, Community Leaders and Youth Leaders. This study uses primary and secondary data collection techniques. The results of the interviews were analyzed and conclusions were drawn systematically. The findings of the research are the indicators of the Village Community Empowerment Institution (LPMD) as a Facilitator, Mediator, Motivator and Dynamist. From the data analysis that the researchers conducted, it was obtained that the function of the Village Community Empowerment Institution (LPMD) in village development had not been running optimally. For this reason, there needs to be better attention from the Village Community Empowerment Institution (LPMD) so that the function of the facilitator in socializing, inviting, and inviting the community to participate can be even better, it is also hoped that the community can participate directly in the Village Community Empowerment Institution (Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa).
