Abstract

Smoking is a familiar habit in Indonesian society, including the use of ecigarettes. Smoking habits can be influenced by emotional stability personality. This study aims to determine the description of emotional stability personality in e-cigarette (vape) users in Pekanbaru City. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. In this study, research data was measured using the IPIP scale with dimensions of emotional stability. The population in this study is not known for certain, so to determine the number of samples in this study is to use the Lemeshow method. criteria, namely, active e-cigarette or vape users and ages 17 to 40 years. The results of the study on e-cigarette users were in the low category, namely 45% as many as 45 people. Based on the age level there is a significant difference in e-cigarette users with an age range of 17-25 years, the majority are in the low category, namely 30%, namely 30 people with a total of 63 people with an age range of 17-25 years and from this study shows how the description of emotional personality stability in users of e-cigarettes (Vape) in Pekanbaru City.
