Abstract

Financial institutions play an important role in the development and development of a modern industrial society. The term rahn is to hold one of the borrower's property as collateral for the loan he receives, the goods being held have economic value. Goods that are deposited with the receivable can be returned at a certain period of time that has been agreed between the customer and the Sharia Pawning Provider. The main problem in this study is how the implementation of pawn transactions at the Pekanbaru sharia pawnshop branch? How is the Islamic economic review of the implementation and application of sharia pawnshops run by the Ahmad Yani branch of the Pekanbaru sharia pawnshop? This research is classified as a combined survey and normative research, namely research on legal norms associated with field research. While the nature of this research is descriptive. In this study, the object is the standard contract/agreement that applies to Pekanbaru Syariah Pegadaiana (Ahmad Yani Syariah Pegadaian Branch). The results of this study indicate that the implementation of rahn (sharia pawn) at Perum Pegadaian Syariah branch of Ahmad Yani Pekanbaru, namely, the contract used is the Rahn contract, the ijarah contract for payment of rent and maintenance of marhun. The determination of the cost of maintaining and caring for the marhun is determined from the estimated amount of the marhun, and if rahin does not take the full loan, a discount will be given according to what percentage of the rahin takes the loan, then the determination of maintenance and storage costs uses the ijarah principle. And a review of Islamic economics on the implementation and application of rahn (sharia pawn) at the Ahmad Yani Pekanbaru branch of Perum Pegadaian Syariah that the implementation and implementation of Rahn implemented by Ahmad Yani Pekanbaru sharia pawnshop is in accordance with Islamic Shari'a.
