Abstract

This research is motivated by the habit of choir members who when singing they only use the quality of their voice without looking at the vokal technique of the choir. This study aims to determine the Choral Vocal Technique Of The Song Dung Sonang Rohaku the GKPI Pipagas Church Pangkalan Kuras District Pelalawan Regency Riau Province. The theory used in this research is according to Soewito and N. Simanungkalit about choral vocal techniques. The research method used by the researcher is a descriptive qualitative research type where the research results do not use numbers, describe in the form of speech, written and observations in the field. In this study the data collection technique used by the researcher is the technique of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that has been taught by the trainer to each member of the GKPI Pipagas Church Pangkalan Kuras District Pelalawan Regency Riau Province has experienced an increase where previously the choir members sang only with their singing ability and they also sang did not apply choral vocal tecjniques but now every choir member is more confident and they can also sing better by applying the choral vocal techniques that have been taughtby the coach. The training in vocal choir breathing techniques, articulation, phrasing, resonance, vibrato, soul or expression, cohesion, balance, timbre, listening techniques, and carrying interpretation or expression is higly accepted by all members of the Choir In The Church of GKPI Pipagas Pangkalan District Drain Pelalawan Regency Riau Province to support his success in singging.
