Abstract

This study aims to describe the values of character education on rebana music in the song jilbab putih at the Raudatul Ikhsan Ta`lim Assembly Pandau Jaya Village Siak Hulu District Kampar Regeny Riau Province. The theory used in character education is the theory by Ratna Megawangi (2004:93) which is summarized into 9 pillars of noble character that should be used as a reference in character education, both at school and outside of school, namely as follows : (a) love God and all of his creation (love Allah, trust, reverence, loyalty), (b) independence and responsibility (responsibility, excellence, self reliance, discipline, orderliness), (c) honesty/trust, wise (trustworthiness, reliability, honesty ), (d) respect and courtesy (respect, sourtessy, obedience), (e) generous, like to help and mutual cooperation (love, compassion, caring, emphaty, generousity, moderation, cooperation), (f) confident, creative and hardworking (confidence, assertiveness, creativity, resourcefulness, courage, determination and enthusiasm), (g) leadership and justice (justice, fairness, mercy, leadership), (h) kind and humble (kindness, friendliness, humility, modesty), (i) tolerance and peace and unity (tolerance, flexibility, peacefulness, unity). This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the actuality of the data. The result of this research is the value of character education in the song of the jilbab putih consists of the value of love God and all of his creation (love Allah, trust, reverence, loyalty), respect and courtesy (respect, courtesy, obedience), kind and humble (kindness, friendliness, humility, modesty), the value of character education responsibility, and the value of self confidence character education (confidence).
