Abstract

This research is motivated by the long service punches of forehand players aged 10-15 years which are relatively inaccurate and there is no training program with service standards. This study aims to determine the effect of target play on the accuracy of the forehand long service punches in badminton games on 10-15 years of athletes in Bank Riau Kerpi Pekanbaru.This research is an experimental research of one group pretest-posttest design with 12 treatments. The population of this study was 10 players aged 10-15 years in PB Bank Riau Kepri with 10 players. The accuracy test for the long forehand service is using the Scott-Fox Long Serve Test by Nurhasan (2001: 182) with a validity of 0.54 and a reliability of 0.77. Data analysis techniques in this study used the t-test, which is by comparing the results of the pretest with the results of the posttest in the experimental group and had previously been tested for normality and homogeneity.Based on the analysis of the results of research and discussion, the value of tcount3.86 is obtained with a significance value of 0.000 <0.005. The mean value of the accuracy of the initial long forehand service stroke is 44.90, while the accuracy of the posttest rises to 58.10. Thus it can be concluded that ha is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of target play on the accuracy of the long service forehand in badminton games in male athletes 10-15 years Bank Riau Riau Islands Pekanbaru.
