Abstract

In Riau, the workforce reaches 2.99 million and 2.76 million working people with an age range of 15-65 years. One of the jobs is an employee at the Bengkalis Regency PUPR Office who distributes public services such as the construction of public facilities. This is certainly not easy for workers, because every job has problems in it, such as conflicts with co-workers or from the work itself which will put pressure on both male and female workers. Someone who is able to cope with and adapt to pressure or severe problems in a positive way is called resilience. The purpose of this study is whether there are differences in resilience in working for male and female workers who work at the PUPR Office, Bengkalis Regency, Riau. The data collection method uses a resilience scale that has been modified from the scale compiled by Meggy et al. (2017) by reducing items from 34 to 17 items, and adding and subtracting item language. The sample in this study were male and female workers at the Bengkalis PUPR Office, Riau as many as 98 people. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data analysis method used is normality and homogeneity test. The results of the analysis of the data obtained are 0.200 for men (p>0.05) and 0.187 for women (p>0.05). this shows that there is no difference in resilience in work for men and women who work at the PUPR office in Bengkalis Riau Regency because (p>0.05) in both sexes.
