Abstract
This study aims to scientifically examine the relationship between culture shock and self-adjustment to Thai students at Islamic University of Riau. The subjects in this study were Thai students who were still actively studying at Islamic University of Riau and were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments for collecting data in this study were the culture shock scale and the self-adjustment scale. Data were analyzed by product moment correlation analysis using SPSS 21.0 for windows program. The results of the product moment correlation analysis obtained a correlation coefficient of -0.371 with a value of p = 0.044 (p <0.05) which indicates that there is a significant negative relationship between self-adjustment and culture shock to Thai students at Islamic University of Riau.
