Abstract

Wages are the most problematic topic between between workers/laborers and entrepreneur, which can cause a disharmony in working relationships. The workers/laborers perceive wages is as an income to meet the necessities of life, while on the other hand the entrepreneurs perceive wages is as one of the burdens that must be borne because it is a part of the production costs. The problem is how the legal protection of labor wages for a certain time agreement at PT. BPLP in Suhada Village, Enok District, Indragiri Hilir Regency? What are the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the implementation of legal protection for the wages of certain time workers at PT. BPLP in Suhada Village, Enok District, Indragiri Hilir The research method is observational research, namely by surveying or observing directly to the research location using data collection tools, namely interviews and questionnaires. This research is a descriptive research, that is, research is intended to provide a detailed, clear and systematic description of the main research problems The results of the study can be concluded that the legal protection of PT. BPLP has not run well and optimally. There are obstacles that make it difficult for companies to carry out PKWT properly. To overcome this problem, it is recommended to tighten supervision over companies and for workers/labourers to make more efforts to understand the rights and obligations that they should receive based on the laws that have governed them.
