Abstract

Kindergarten as an institution aimed at early childhood needs to have educational facilities and infrastructure that support the success of education. But not all levels of education have adequate facilities and infrastructure. This is where the Education Office of Indragiri Hilir Regency plays a role in improving the quality of the facilities and infrastructure of the Tembilahan State Kindergarten. This study discusses the role of the Education Office of Indragiri Hilir Regency in improving the quality of the facilities and infrastructure of the Pembina Tembilahan State Kindergarten, as well as to find out the obstacles and obstacles faced by the Education Office in implementing the procurement and rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure at the Pembina Tembilahan State Kindergarten, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The indicators that are the focus of research on the role of the Education Office in Improving the Quality of Facilities and Infrastructure of the Tembilahan State Kindergarten are Program Development, Policy Implementation, and Guidance, supervision, and evaluation. This study uses a qualitative method. Informants from this study were the Head of the PAUD, Head of PAUD, PAUD Technical Staff, and the Head of the TKN Pembina Tembilahan School. The method used in data collection is Observation, Interview, and Documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Department of Education has carried out its role quite well, although there are still obstacles. The Education Office swiftly came to the location to check the condition of the damaged facilities based on the reports from the TK, and to assess their condition. If it is urgent, the Office submits a proposal for improvement, if it is accepted, the activity can be carried out.
