Abstract

The tourism sector in the current era of globalization, has become one of the largest and most powerful industries in the world, where tourism is one of the biggest contributors in supplying state income and driving the community's economy. community and culture where local and foreign tourists who are interested in visiting a destination. one of the cultures that is still preserved by the Kuantan Singingi community is Pacu Path. Pacu Path is a kind of traditional rowing competition typical of the Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) area which still exists today and is developing in Riau Province. This rowing competition uses a boat made from logs which the local community also often calls lane. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Policy Implementation of the Department of Tourism and Culture of the Kuantan Singingi District Government in Promoting Pathway Culture. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive survey with qualitative methods. There are 10 informants in this study with the Head of Tourism Office as the key informant. Data collection techniques with interviews and descriptive data analysis using inductive techniques. This study concludes that the Implementation of Tourism and Culture Service Policy of the Kuantan Singingi Regency Government in Promoting Pathway Culture is not implemented based on indicators of communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure.
