Abstract

ABSTRACT The Communication Strategy of The BPJS Kesehatan Pekanbaru Branch To Improve Orderly Payment of Contribution By Independent JKN-KIS Participants in Pekanbaru City JP RINALDI SITUMORANG 179110207 BPJS Kesehatan Pekanbaru Branch is one of the branch offices with the number of participants increasing every year. This is a good achievement for BPJS Kesehatan Pekanbaru Branch in managing JKN-KIS. However, there are challenges that must be faced, namely the number of arrears in JKN-KIS contributions which continues to increase. The community's mindset towards JKN-KIS which tends to be negative is the main factor in the occurrence of arrears. Seeing the lack of public understanding of the functions and benefits of JKN-KIS, there is a need for communication activities with clear planning and communication strategies. This study aims to determine the Communication Strategy of BPJS Kesehatan Pekanbaru Branch to Improve Orderly Payment of Contributions by Independent JKN-KIS Participants in Pekanbaru City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a theoretical basis for the stages of establishing a communication strategy from Cangara. From the results of this study, it is known that BPJS Kesehatan Pekanbaru Branch has carried out several communication activities, including (1) telecollecting/sms blast; (2) JKN Cadre visits to participants in arrears; (3) advertisements on city transportation; (4) socialization. Based on these communication activities, there is a determination of the stages of a communication strategy starting from selecting and determining communicators, setting targets, techniques for compiling messages, choosing media or communication channels and evaluation.
