Abstract

The road is designed to accommodate all vehicles passing by at a satisfactory speed and must be strong enough to accept the heaviest axle loads from the traffic. The Air Molek-Japura Intersection, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province, is included as a provincial road according to the authority of the handler, which has a road length of ± 14.85 kilometers, one lane, two lanes, two directions with a width of 6.13 meters without a median, this road is a frequent route. passed by various types of vehicles, both light and heavy vehicles such as oil palm trucks, sand trucks, inter-provincial buses, and other large trucks. Vehicles that pass on this road are sometimes not in accordance with the maximum allowable load, which is also a potential factor in causing pavement damage. In this regard, this study will discuss the effect of overload. Researchers calculate daily traffic (LHR) with a survey conducted for 4 days (Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) within 24 hours. Cesa4 Value, ESAL Value, Factor Truck. The method used in this research is the 2017 Revised Highway Pavement Design Manual. From the results of the analysis and discussion of the average daily traffic data in the Thesis Analysis of Vehicle Load Against Damage to Flexible Pavement (Asphalt) on Air Molek-Japura Intersection, Indragiri Hulu Regency is 5,261 vehicles per day / 2 directions, for the medium traffic category. The result of the calculation of the CESA4 value is 15060946.33. The results of the analysis of the calculation of the vehicle traffic factor obtained a total daily ESAL value of 7978,84974 per day/2 way and the results of the Truck Factor calculation 6,4449 > 1, where this value indicates that the condition of the Air Molek - Japura intersection is overloaded. caused by excessive axle load that passes through the Air Molek - Japura Intersection, Indragiri Hulu Regency. Therefore, there is a need for supervision in the field and efforts to reduce the level of damage due to heavy vehicle loads crossing the road segment.
