Abstract

Spatial Planning is a process system consisting of spatial planning, space utilization, and space utilization control. The development of Pekanbaru City generally occurs in mainland areas, resulting in the main riverbank areas in the area along the Siak River, Senapelan District, which are not well organized. This is because in this area there are irregular settlements and environmental problems that cause this area to be not well organized. This study aims to determine the direction of spatial planning for the Siak River area, Senapelan District in Supporting Tourism in Pekanbaru City This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach which is used to describe the existing condition of the Siak riverside area, Senapelan district with Walktrough analysis method and Mapping analysis to support Walktrough analysis with the results of the analysis in the form of maps. Data collection in this study is divided into 2 (two) namely primary data collection in the form of field observations, and field documentation and secondary data collection in the form of data collection in the field and data collection in related agencies. Based on the results of direct observations in the field and also the results of planning, the siak riverbank area of Pekanbaru City Senapelan District is divided into 3 (three) allotment zones, namely: the green zone is a zone located on the banks of the Siak river Senapelan Subdistrict, the tourist activity zone is located around the siak riverbank area of Senapelan Subdistrict which is used as an attraction for visitors and settlement zones that are used as community residences and trade. Wishful thinking and service. Therefore, it is necessary to design some green open space space in the siak river area of Senapelan subdistrict to support tourism and attract tourists to visit this area. Open space must also be equipped with adequate facilities and infrastructure to facilitate and attract tourists to visit the siak river area of Senapelan subdistrict.
