Abstract

This research is entitled “The Meaning of Movement of Zapin Siak Sri Indrapura Dance in Rempak Village, Siak District, Siak Regency.” This research aims to determine the meaning of movement of the zapin siak sri indrapuran dance in rempak village, siak district, siak district. The research is to use the method. Descriptive analysis and qualitative data. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. This research uses data reduction techniques, data display, and draws data/verification conclusions. The subjects of this study were 3 people, I of whom was the artist zapin siak sri indrapura in rempak village, while the implementation used specific findings and general findings, while the result of the research in rempak village, siak district used descriptive, namely indicative, categorical and descriptions using iskandar’s theory (2008:187).
