Abstract

Seloka Kampung Teduh dance is a theme of daily life that tells about the daily difficulties of the people making a living on the edge of the Port of Dumai. The movements in the Seloka Kampung Teduh dance are, among others, the Malay movements created. Straight and curved floor design, with zigzag floor pattern, flat or straight, and oblique, and dynamics in Seloka Kampung Teduh dance. Level changes are arranged in such a way as high, low, and so on, changing tempo from slow speed, changing pressure and how to move the body from weak to strong. This research uses descriptive analysis method with interactive qualitative data. Research subjects numbered 4 people as speakers. Data collection techniques used are, observation, interviews and documentation techniques. According Soedarsono (1975: 82) If dance is valued as an art form, then in a dance there are elements or dance elements that are indispensable including Motion, Music, Floor Design, Dynamics, Themes, Costumes, Makeup, Lighting , The stage. The results of the Seloka Kampung Teduh dance study consisted of 11 dancers, including 4 male dancers and 7 female dancers. The make up used in the Seloka Kampung Teduh dance is beautiful make up, using pink lipstick, purple eyeshadow, golden orange, and pink cheeks. In line with cosmetology, costumes used shades of orange and purple. This dance is intended as a means of entertainment that lasts approximately 6 minutes, musical instruments used in violins, drums, tambourines, kompang, accordions, cellos, djembe and stringed instruments. The lighting in this Seloka Kampung Teduh dance gives a spotlight that focuses on a dancer whose intended audience's view is only on the dancer. And neutral light on one stage.
