Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out on how to prevent crime against sexual harassment in public transportations. This research uses qualitative method, the location of the study was conducted on Jakarta Electric Train (Kereta Rel Listrik Jakarta / KRL). This study uses data collection techniques by observing, in-depth interviews and documenting. After the data and information have been obtained, it is then analyzed through data grouping, from this data grouping the writer is able to draw more specific conclusions to get a more accurate conclusion. Based on the results of the research on prevention strategies for sexual harassment in public transportations, sexual harassment is commonly happen to women, though it can also happen to other communities in KRL transportation. To prevent sexual harassment crimes, Indonesian Commuter Train Companies are making efforts to prevent sexual harassment in KRL. This includes three factors of influencing the effort to reduce sexual harassment in the city. These three factors are designing security, organizing effective procedures and developing safe products. It is done so that people will understand sexual harassment crimes in KRL and would pay special attention to sexual harassment so that perpetrators of sexual harassment criminals are helpless while at the KRL stations or train.
