Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of the use of school libraries on biology learning achievement of class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru in Academic Year 2019/2020. This research was conducted in March to July 2020. This research is a correlational study and data collection using questionnaires, observation sheets, interviews and documentation, the sample in this study were 106 students. Data analysis in this study uses Person Product Moment correlation analysis techniques. The results showed that: Utilization of School Libraries (X) Against Student Learning Achievement (Y) there was a significant relationship between the use of libraries to the learning achievements of Natural Sciences students in class XI SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2019/2020 as a whole with a count of (0.444 ) in the medium category. For the significant test values found that: Utilization of the school library (Y) on student achievement (X) as a whole tcount (44.5)> ttable (1.98). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the use of school libraries on class XI student achievement in SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2019/2020.
