Abstract

The Central Gathering Station (CGS) is a place to collect production fluid from various wells that share from several areas, in the process many problems arise and need special handling. In this case, the 2 problems faced by CGS Y are damage to the soft water distribution facilities and effluent water distribution facilities to the stream line so that the delivery of soft water or effluent water cannot be carried out and CGS Y must accommodate excess produced water in the CGS Y facility. The fluid that enters CGS Y consists of several active wells with an average total fluidity of 180,000 bfpd until January 6, 2020, where on that date, the flow of area 2 is dispatched to CGS Y so that the incoming fluid becomes 230,000 bfpd. With an increase in fluid flow entering CGS Y, it will cause more water to be produced. The problems faced by CGS Y allow damage to the treated water delivery stream line so that CGS Y must be able to temporarily accommodate the treated water in the CGS Y facility so that the treated water does not spill into the environment or canals. As PT. CPI no longer discharges produced water into the environment according to KepMenLHK no. SK.599 I Menlhk-Setjen I 2015 in the permit for disposal of waste water by injection. To overcome the abnormal conditions that occur at CGS Y, a buffer system is implemented, where the buffer system itself is the use of tank facilities as temporary water storage to maintain operational stability at the CGS Y facility in maintaining Zero Water Discharge. CGS Y has the ability to pump in the buffer system a is 293,485 bpd under normal conditions, and the capacity of the entire buffer system support tank is 123,304 barrels, the ability to remove soft water to accommodate fluid in abnormal conditions is 19.73 hours and the discharge of effluent water to accommodate the fluid under abnormal conditions is 42.27 hours
