Abstract
Problem solving is an ability of the thought process and methods used in finding the solutions of problems being faced so there is congeniality between the results obtained with the expected results. Husnudzon is predicted an ability to improve students' problem solving on conducting their undergraduate thesis. The aim of the research is to determine the correlation between husnudzon and the problem solving. The population in this research is psychology students at Universitas Islam Riau who are conducting undergraduate thesis with a total sample of 107 subjects taken using purposive sampling techniques. Data is collected by using two scales which are problem solving scale and Husnudzon scale. Data is analyzed by product moment correlation analysis techniques. The result indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between Husnudzon and problem solving for (r = 0.585, p = 0.000). The effective contribution of the Husnudzon variable to problem solving is 34.2 percent; the rest is influenced by other variables.
