Abstract
Employees who have work engagement will always feel able to improve performance to a level that exceeds the required work standards. It is important for employees to reach their targets every month, but they must have confidence, optimism and perseverance, also known as psychological capital. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of psychological capital with work engagement among sales operation of PT Isuindomas Putra Isuzu Pekanbaru. The population of this study was 72 employees, all of them were sampled with total sampling techniques. Data collection using psychological capital scale and work engagement scale, the data obtained were analyzed using product moment correlation analysis. Based on the results of the analysis in this research, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between psychological capital and work engagement among sales operation of PT Isuindomas Putra Isuzu Pekanbaru. The higher employees psychological capital, would be higher their work engagement. The higher employee psychological capital, would be lower their work engagement. The effective contribution of the relationship between both variables was 36,6%.
