Abstract
This research was conducted in Riau Province. The objectives of this study are: "To analyze the effect of population, GRDP, HDI and the unemployment rate on poverty levels in Riau Province". The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of annual quantitative numbers from 2005 to 2019. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis methods and uses several tests, namely the classical assumption test. The data were processed using the Eviews 9 application. From the results of this study, it is known that: 1) The population does not significantly influence the poverty level in Riau Province; 2) GRDP has no significant effect on the poverty level in Riau Province; 3) HDI does not significantly affect poverty in Riau Province; 4) The unemployment rate has a significant and positive effect on the poverty rate in Riau Province.
