Abstract

This study was classroom action research. This research purposed to improve student learning outcomes grade VII7 SMPN 21 Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017 through application of Make A Match by using Handout. Subjects of this study were students of SMPN 21 Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 42 students. The measured parameter was Cognitive Research Achievement (CRA) and scientific performance. The technique of analyzing data was descriptive analyzing. The average absorption of learners before PTK was 79,54% and in the first cycle to 82,4%, so there was an increase 2,86%. In the second cycle was 84,52%, so there was increase of 2,12% from first cycle. The classical completeness before PTK was 71,42%. The average absorption value of students after the first cycle is 85,71% to 88,10%. The average absorption of students’ scientific performance before PTK was 76,45 % and in the first cycle to 71,10%. In the second cycle was 81,71%. The classical completeness before PTK was 76,19%. The average absorption value of students after the first cycle is 51,14% and an increase of 85,71% in the second cycle. It cam be concluded that Make A Match by using Handout can imrove students learning outcomes grade VII7 SMPN 21 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2016/2017.
