Abstract

Research entitled "Effect of Lime and Green Manure Hydrilla verticillata on Growth and Production of Mung Beans (Vigna radiata L.) in Peat Soil". Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Jumin M.Sc. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 3 months starting from December 2020 to February 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Lime and Green Manure Hydrilla verticillata on the Growth and Production of Mung Beans (Vigna radiata L.) in Peat Soil. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor is lime (Factor K) which consists of 4 treatment levels: 0, 62.5, 125, 187.5 g/polybag and the second factor is Hydrilla verticillata green manure (Factor H) which consists of 4 treatment levels: 0.62 ,5, 125, 187.5 g/polybag,. Parameters observed were plant height, net assimilation rate (LAB), relative growth rate (LPR), number of active root nodules, age of harvest, weight of 100 wet seeds, dry weight of planted seeds. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the Honestly Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of lime and green manure Hydrilla verticillata did not have a significant effect on all observation parameters. The main effect of Hydrilla verticillata green manure did not have a significant effect on all observed parameters. The main effect of lime has a significant effect on all observation parameters, the best treatment is giving lime with a dose of 187.5 g/polybag (K3).
