Abstract

Research entitled The Effect of Rhizobium and Rice Husk Ash on Growth and Production of Long Beans (Vigna sinensis L.), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ir. Hasan Basri Jumin. M.Sc. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Rhizobium and rice husk ash on the production of long beans (Vigna sinensis L.). Benefits to provide information to readers about the effect of using Rhizobium and Rice Husk Ash on Long Bean (Vigna sinensis L.) Production. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jl Kaharuddin Nasution KM 10, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province, for three months from August to October 2019. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD). which consists of 2 factors, the first factor is Rhizobium consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 4, 8, 12 g/kg of seed and the second factor is rice husk ash consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 0.6, 1.2, 1.8 kg/plot. Parameters observed were Net Assimilation Rate (mg/cm2/day), Relative Growth Rate (g/day), flowering age (days), harvesting age (days), pod weight (days), pod length (cm), number of pods (fruit), number of root nodules (fruit), efficiency of using Rhizobium (%). The last observation data was analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ further test at the level of 5%. The results showed that the interaction effect of the use of Rhizobium and rice husk ash was significant for all parameters but had no significant effect on Harvest Age, pod weight, number of root nodules, while the main effect of the use of Rhizobium and rice husk ash was significant on all parameters where the best treatment was 12 g/kg of seed and 1.8 kg/plot.
