Abstract
with the title Test of Yield Potential and Resistance of Various Curly Red Chili Plant Varieties (Capsicum annum L) against Curly Disease (Gemini Virus) under the guidance of Dr. Ir. Saripah Ulpah M.Sc. This study aims to determine the potential yield and resistance of various varieties of curly red chili peppers (Capsicum annum L) against curly disease (Gemini Virus). For 5 months from October 2019 to February 2020. The research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor consisting of 6 treatments, namely: PM 999, Laris, Ferosa, Kawat, local Parawang and Lado F1 varieties. Each treatment was repeated 6 times so that there were 36 experimental units, for each experimental unit there were 4 plants and 2 plants sampled, so that the total plants totaled 144 plants. The parameters observed were time of disease symptom appearance, flowering age, harvest age, percentage of curl disease, percentage of plants attacked by viruses, types of pests and levels of attack by plant pests, number of fruit crops and fruit weight. The data were analyzed by using the BNJ test. The results showed that various varieties of curly red chilies had a significant effect on the time of appearance of disease symptoms, flowering age, the percentage of curly disease, the percentage of plants attacked by viruses, the number of fruit planted and the weight of fruit planted. The best treatments were local varieties Perawang and PM 999.
