Abstract

Bima Sakti (164110073) conducted a study entitled The Impact of Application of Various Insecticides and Concentrations of POC D.I Grow on Pest Populations and Disease Attack Rates in Curly Chili (Capsicum annum L.). The research was carried out in the Al-Munawarrah boarding house, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. This research was conducted for 4 months from October 2019 to January 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of various insecticides and the concentration of POC D.I Grow and the main factors on pest populations and disease levels in curly chili plants. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial which consisted of 2 factors. The first factor was the insecticide which consisted of 4 levels, namely without insecticide application, Agrimec 18 EC, Curacron 500 EC and Pegasus 500 EC. While the second factor is D.I Grow's Liquid Organic Fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 2.5, 5 and 7.5 ml / l. So that there are 16 treatment combinations consisting of 3 replications so that there are 48 experimental units. Every one experimental unit there are 4 plants, so that the total of all research plants is 192 plants. The parameters observed were age at appearance of pests, type and number of pest populations, age at occurrence of disease and level of disease attack. The data were processed statistically and further tested with the BNJ test. Based on the results of research that has been done. So it can be concluded that the interaction of various insecticides and the concentration of POC D.I Grow has a significant effect on the age at which pests appear. The treatment of various insecticides with a POC D.I Grow concentration of 2.5 - 7.5 ml / l can slow down the age at which pests appear. The main effect of various insecticides has a significant effect on the age at which pests appear, population of whitefly and aphids, age at appearance of disease and the level of disease attack. Meanwhile, the main effect of the concentration of POC D.I Grow did not have a significant effect on the age at which the pests appeared, the population of whitefly pests, the age at which the disease appeared and the level of disease attack.
