Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the leadership function on employee morale in the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection in Riau Province. The assessment indicators used include Instructive Leadership Function, Consultation Leadership Function, Participatory Leadership Function, Presence, Work Discipline, Cooperation, Responsibility, and Productivity Work. The type of research that is located at the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Riau Province is Quantitative Analysis, which is a research method based on the philosophy of positivism, used to examine specific populations or samples, data collection using research instruments, quantitative / statistical data analysis , in order to test the hypothesis that has been set. There is one population group and the sample in this study are employees who are in the Secretariat of the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection in Riau Province with a total sample of 39 people. One technique used in determining individual samples is the Census or total sampling. Types and data collection techniques used consist of primary data collected by questionnaire distribution techniques and secondary data collected using observation techniques. While the data analysis techniques used are multiple linear regression equations, validity test, reliability test, and t test. Based on the multiple linear regression equation Y = Ý = -1,821+ 0,827 X1 + 0,880 X2 + 0,232 X3. From these results it shows that the most dominant instructional and consultative leadership functions on morale. In the results of the t test, the leadership function variables can be t-counted respectively are 2,966; 3,944; 0,867 and t table = 2,022691, (significant value of the instructional leadership function variable and consulting leadership function <0.05 while the significant value of the participation leadership variable function> 0.05), means that, from the three indicator variables the instructive leadership function and leadership function individual consultations have a significant effect on the morale of employees of the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Riau Province, while the participation leadership function, the t-test value 0,867 <t-table = 2.022691, and a significant value of 0,392> 0.05. means that the leadership function of individual participation does not significantly influence the morale of the employees of the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Riau Province. From the F test, the F count is 25,462 > F table = 2.845068 with a significance level of 0.000, meaning that the leadership function simultaneously has a significant effect on the morale of the employees of the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Riau Province.
