Abstract
The Effect of Oil Palm Empty Bunch Compost and Superior Plant Hormones on Oil Palm Seed Growth (elaeis gunineensis jacq) in the Main Nursery. The aim of this study was to determine the interaction effect of Oil Palm Empty Bunch Compost and Superior Plant Hormones for growth. oil palm seeds. The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, No. 113, Km 11, Airingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted for 4 months from September 2019 to February 2020. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial which consisted of 2 factors. The first factor is Empty Oil Palm Bunch Compost consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 375, 750, and 1125 g / plant. The second factor was the Superior Plant Hormone consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 1,2, and 3 ml / l of water, so that there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications and 48 experimental units (plots) were obtained. Each plot consisted of 2 observed plants. The final observation data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If F count is greater than F table, then continue the BNJ further test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Oil Palm Empty Bunches Compost and Superior Plant Hormones was significant on plant height, longest midrib length, stem girth and root volume. The best treatment is Compost Oil Palm Empty Bunches 750 g / plant and Superior Plant Hormones 3 ml / l water. The main effect of Oil Palm Empty Bunch Compost is significant for all parameters. The best treatment is Compost Oil Palm Empty Bunches 750 g / plant. The main effect of Superior Plant Hormones was significant on all parameters. The best treatment is Superior Plant Hormone 3 ml / l water.
