Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of interaction as well main effect of swallow manure and pearl NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) in Main Nursery. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11, No. 113, Kelurahan Air Cold, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was carried out for 5 months starting from February to June 2020. Purpose of the study is to determine the interaction effect of swallow manure and NPK fertilizer pearl 16:16:16 on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) at the Main Nursery. The experimental design used was factorial in the form of a completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is fertilizer Swallow Poop (W) consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 187.50, 375.00 and 562.50 g / plant. The second factor, namely NPK 16:16:16 (N) consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 7.50, 15.00 and 22.50 g / plant, so there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 repeat. Of the 48 experimental plots, each plot consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants used as samples, all 192 plants. The results of the study concluded: Interaction of swallow dung fertilizer treatment and NPK 16:16:16 is real for all observed parameters. Best treatment dose of swallow manure fertilizer 562.50 g / plant and NPK 16:16:16 22.50 g / plant (W3N3). The main effect of swallow dung fertilizer treatment was significant for all observed parameters. The best treatment was the dose of swallow manure fertilizer 562.50 g / plant (W3). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 dose treatment is significant all parameters were observed. The best treatment is NPK fertilizer dosage 16:16:16 22.50 g / plant (N3)
