Abstract

This research has been conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11, Airingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted for 3 months starting from November to January 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction and the main effect of Palm Oil Mill Liquid Waste and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) plants. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) in factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is palm oil (S) liquid waste which consists of 4 levels and the second factor is NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer which consists of 4 levels. Thus obtained 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times for a total of 48 experimental units. Each replication consisted of 25 plants and 4 plants were used as samples, so that the total plants totaled 1200 plants. Observation parameters: plant height, number of leaves, harvesting age, number of tubers per clump, tuber wet weight per clump, tuber dry weight per hill and tuber weight loss. If F count is greater than F table, then the Honest Real Difference test (BNJ) is continued at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of palm oil mill effluent and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 fertilizer was significant on harvesting age, tuber wet weight per clump and tuber dry weight per hill. The best treatment for palm oil mill effluent is 1 liter / plot and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 45 g / plant (S1N3). The main effect of palm oil mill effluent is significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment is palm oil mill effluent 1 l / plot (S1). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 dose was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment was NPK 16:16:16 45 g / plot (N3).
