Abstract

This research was conducted in Tropong, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution, Pekanbaru. For 4 months starting from February 2019 to July 2019. The research objective was to determine the interaction and the main influence on the treatment of the effect of vermicompost and NPK Mutiara Fertilizer 16:16:16 on the yield of sweet potato (Ipomoea Batatas L). The experimental design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the dosage of vermicompost fertilizer (K) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 250, 500 and 750 grams per bundle and the second factor is the dosage of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 4, 8 and 12 grams per plant, so there are 16 treatment combinations. The parameters observed in this study were the number of tubers per plant, weight of tubers per plant, weight of tubers per tuber, the largest tuber circumference, the longest average tuber length. Observation data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ further test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of vermicompost fertilizer and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 gave a significant effect on all observed parameters. The best treatment was found in the combination of vermicompost fertilizer treatment 750 g / bundle and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 dosage 12 g / plant K3N3). The main effect of vermicompost fertilizer was significant on all parameters. Best treatment was 750 g / bund (K3). The main effect of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 was significant on all parameters. Best treatment was 12 g / plant (N3).
