Abstract

The Effect of Grand-K Fertilizer and Superior Plant Hormones on the Growth and Yield of Sweet Potatoes (Ipomoea batatas L.) under the guidance of Mrs. Ir. Ernita, MP as supervisor I and Mrs. Mardaleni, SP., M.Sc as mentor II. This research has been conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM. 11 No.113 Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya Pekanbaru District. This research was conducted from March to July 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of grand-K fertilizer and superior plant hormones on the growth and yield of sweet potato. The design used was factorial completely randomized design. The first factor was the Grand-K dose which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 7.5, 15.0 and 22.5 grams / bundle. The second factor was the provision of superior plant hormone fertilizer with 4 levels, namely 0, 3, 6 and 9 ml / l of water. Parameters observed were as follows: tuber number per plant, tuber wet weight per plant, tuber weight per tuber, tuber length, tuber dry weight per plant and tuber weight loss. Observation data from each treatment were analyzed statistically and continued with further tests of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of grand-K fertilizer and superior plant hormone did not significantly affect all the observed parameters. The main effect of grand-K fertilizer was significant on the number of tubers per plant, tuber wet weight per plant, tuber weight per tuber, tuber length, tuber dry weight per plant and tuber loss weight. The best treatment was a dose of Grand-K 15.0 g / guludan. The main effect of superior plant hormones was significant for all parameters. The best treatment was 9 ml / l of water.
