Abstract
This study is motivated by the importance of islamic education communication on students’ learning difficulties. Islamic education communication is important to overcome learning difficulties and it is an aspect that must be improved in the world of education, especially for students. There are some signs showing that the students tend to be less able to think cognitively, the students’ attitudes or behaviors are unfavorable in daily life at campus, the students are less active in learning activities, the students use language that is not polite, not good and irregular, and some students’ intellectual ability and learning achievement are still low. These cases show that there are some students whose problems and learning difficulties, or there is a gap or a mismatch between expectations and reality. The problem formulation of this study is whether there is an influence of Islamic education communication on students’ learning difficulties in Islamic Education Department at the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI), Islamic University of Riau (UIR). This study aims to investigate the influence of Islamic education communication on students’ learning difficulties in Islamic Education Department at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Riau. The subject of this study is the students of Islamic Education Department at the Faculty of Islamic studies in academic year 2018-2019. The population of this study is 262 students and the sample is 158 students. This study consists of two variables, namely variable X (Islamic Education Communication) and variable Y (Learning Difficulties). The data correlation analysis method used in this study is the Simple Regression Test. Based on the results of a simple regression analysis, a significant value obtained is less than 0.05 or 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it means that there is an influence of Islamic Education Communication on students’ learning difficulties in Islamic Education Department at the Faculty of Islamic studies. The level of influence between the variable X (Islamic Education Communication) and the variable Y (learning difficulties) is 0.615 or 61.5% which lies in the range of value between 0.60 - 0.799 or in the strong level. In conclusion, the results of study show that there is an influence of Islamic education communication on students’ learning difficulties in Islamic Education Department at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Riau, which is in the category of "Strong".
