Abstract

Based on a preliminary research, it was found that some students at SMAN 2 Kerinci Kanan showed that the signs of honesty were not as expected, such as: the students often cheated during the time of exams or tests, they were not trustworthy when given credence, and they have lack of spiritual and religious knowledge. The problem formulation of this study is whether there is an influence of spiritual intelligence on students’ honesty at SMAN 2 Kerinci Kanan, Siak Regency. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate whether there is an influence of spiritual intelligence on students’ honesty at SMAN 2 Kerinci Kanan, Siak Regency. The type of this study is quantitative research. The subject of this study is the students of SMAN 2 Kerinci Kanan, and the object of this study is the influence of spiritual intelligence on students’ honesty. Data collection technique used is questionnaire distributed to 50 respondents who are the students of SMAN 2 Kerinci Kanan. Data analysis method consists of validity and reliability tests, normality test and simple linear regression, processed by using SPSS version 23. Based on data analysis and data processing, it is found that there is a low influence of spiritual intelligence on students’ honesty with a result of 0.310, which is between 0.20-0.399 or included in the category of low level. This is evidenced by the spiritual intelligence of 0.310 (31.0%).
