Abstract
Abstract Symbolic Interaction of Female Adolescent Fans of Korean Pop in Pekanbaru Nur winda yani NPM: 169110021 This research is motivated by the existence of the hallyu wave phenomenon which increasingly shows its existence in society. Some people have different perceptions of the existence of Korean pop culture. This research was conducted to find out how symbolic interaction is a communication tool for female adolescent fans of Korean pop in Pekanbaru. How do people view the existence of these Kpop fans. Assessing the use of symbolic interaction theory by Herbert Mead which consists of mind, self and society. The method used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The informants consisted of three female adolescent aged 18-21 years living in Pekanbaru. Based on the results of research on the mind, female adolescent think it's good to be Korean pop fans. Self, female adolescent want to show the good side of themselves as Korean pop fans by eliminating bad perceptions about Korean pop fans not being successful. Society, good support from support informants towards female adolescent Korean pop fans.
