Abstract

Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru Islamic Junior High School is a non-profit organization engaged in the field of education and social welfare which is located at Jl. Work/Ikhlas No. 224, Tuah Karya Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to compare the educational accounting applied to Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru Islamic Junior High School in accordance with the General Accepted Accounting Principles. The types of data collected from this study include primary data and secondary data. The data collected from this research are written data and documents provided by Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru Islamic Junior High School. The accounting application applied by the Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru Islamic Junior High School 2 city only makes general cash books and directly compiles profit and loss and balance sheets. Insan Utama 2 Islamic Junior High School does not keep a journal for every transaction, and does not make activity reports, cash flow reports and notes on financial reports. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this study was carried out by descriptive methods. Based on the results of the above research, it is known that the application of educational accounting at Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru Islamic Junior High School is not in accordance with the General Accepted Accounting Principles.
