Abstract

Zakat is a property that must be issued by a muslim or a business entity to be given to those entitled to receive it in accordance with Islamic shariah. And the amil zakat institution .Acces to education istill difficult and limited to certain regions.in 2017 there were 6.9 million registered student, while in 2018 the number of student had reached 7.5 million students. Infrastructure development and the relevance of the field of science to tertiary institutions are also very necessary to support the development of tertiary education in Indonesia. The main problem in this study is how the implementation of the LBB center in realizing the sustainability of heigher education programs for the underprivileged ,and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of LBB in realizing the sustainability of higher education programs. The method that the author uses in this study when seen from its type ,then this research is classified into empirical or sociological legal research by conducting a survey whitch is a type of research that is sampled from the population and uses the interview method to the LBB chairman to obtain information or data meanwhile,when viewed from its nature ,then this research intended to provide a detailed,clear and systematic description of the main problems of the study. From the research results of the Baznas scholarsip institute LBB is an institution under the auspices of Baznas which was formed in 2018.In the implementation of an educational program for mustahiq, LBB cooperates with universities to work together ,to be able to feel the benefits of zakat funds for scholarships to mustahiq.While the supporting factor is Law No 23 of 2011 concerning management of zakat,then MUI Fatwa Number Kep-120/MUI/II.1996 which states that zakat funds are allowed for scholarships. One of the inhibiting factors is financial zakat funds for scholarships that have not been able to rearh all campuses that are in Indonesia it was seen by PTN/PTS that partnered with LBB there were still 89 campuses in Indonesia.
