Abstract

Occupational safety and health is a program designed for workers / laborers and employers as a preventive measure so as not to cause accidents and diseases due to work relations in the work environment or workplace. The purpose of making this system is to reduce company costs in the event of work accidents and diseases due to work relations In this thesis entitled Implementation of Law Number 24 Year 2011 concerning the Social Security Agency (Study at Riau Islamic University) discusses the problems, namely: How is the implementation of Law Number 24 Year 2011 concerning Social Security Administering Bodies (Study at Riau Islamic University ) and How is the Implementation of the BPJS Employment Program for Lecturers and Permanent Employees at the Riau Islamic University? The method used in this research is observational research by means of direct field surveys. While the nature of this research is descriptive, namely, a depiction of the nature of an individual, circumstances or other symptoms in society. And in this study the authors set the sample by purposive sampling. In this field study the authors used the interview method. The author's data analysis is based on qualitative methods. The results of the discussion of this research are that in BPJS Tenaga Kerja, lecturers and permanent employees are registered directly as participants by the Riau Islamic University. So, lecturers and permanent staff do not need to register themselves. Lecturers and permanent employees also get BPJS Manpower participant identification cards. Lecturers and permanent employees only need to provide and complete whatever requirements are requested by the BPJS. Supposedly all lecturers and staff should be registered as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants, but at the Riau Islamic University this is not the case, but only permanent lecturers and permanent employees who get BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. The implementation of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program for lecturers and permanent employees at the Islamic University of Riau is very ineffective due to the lack of socialization regarding the differences between BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. This socialization is very important for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants so that they understand the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program and the amount of payment fees that must be paid every month by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants.
