Abstract

Main Advisor : Ibnu Hajar, S.Pd, M.P Co- Advisor : Tengku Idris, S.Pd, M.Pd ABSTRACT This study aims to determine relationship student learning discipline and science learning outcomes of 8th grade students at SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru in the 2019/2020 academic year. Data collection was carried out from January to February 2020. This research is a correlational study and data collection uses questionnaires, interviews and observations. The population are students of 8th grade which defined 105 students as sample size. The data analysis in this study used the Person Product Moment correlation analysis technique. Based on the study of learning discipline (X) with learning outcomes (Y), the average value of all indicators of student learning discipline is 92.10% in the Very Good category. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes in the high category obtained a value of 33.33%, the medium category was 12.38%, and the low category was 54.29%. Based on the correlation test, there is a significant relationship between learning discipline (X) and learning outcomes (Y) t count (7,319)> t table (1,569) in the medium category with correlation (r_ (xy)) of 0.585 and a contribution of 34.22% . This shows that there is a significantly relationship between student learning discipline and science learning outcomes of 8th grade students at SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru for the 2019/2020 academic year.
